Department of Computer Science

Since inception, the Department is offering Graduate Programme in Computer Science and Computer Application. The department recently started Post Graduate Programme. The biggest asset of the department is its human resource as faculties. There are total 06 faculties, 02 completed NET, SET and 03 are pursuing Ph.D.
The Department has good infrastructure in terms of Computer Laboratories with optic fiber lease line connectivity with 100 MBPS bandwidth. The whole campus is WI-FI enabled. Communication skill Development program is offered by the Department to the students coming from vernacular medium at no cost. The Department is also taking efforts to prepare the students from their placement point of view. Every year around 55-60 % of students are placed in various MNCs such as Wipro, Cognizant, L&T.
Seminar, group discussion, unit test and audio-visual techniques are adopted in order to make teaching learning more effective. As a result of which the results of the university examination are constantly at a high scale. For the overall development of students various activities are conducted throughout the year. Department organizes Guest Lectures of eminent personalities on various topics related to Computer networking for students. The Department also provides remedial coaching for students who are weak in academics. Extra classes are conducted for the weak students to increase their ability to remember, recall and understand the subjects.
Recently the department of Computer Science offered a B.Voc. course in Software Development which is a three-year Undergraduate (UG) program that aims at imparting practical and industry relevant skill in the domain of computer science and software development.
Due to the efforts taken by faculty members and students, most of the students complete their program in the stipulated time with good percentage. Around 90% students go for higher studies in India and abroad.
